Item: Complete, 87 tape, 170+ episode, collection of Star Trek: The Next
Generation from Columbia House.
Description:
DVD is a mixed blessing. Here I am, happily the owner of every TNG episode
and what happens? Yup, DVDs. 5.1 Dolby Digital, improved picture, loaded
with extras (though not as many extras as I would have liked). Being the
helpless fanboy I am, I bought them. I spent damn near $2000.00 on these
tapes over a seven year period, and for what?!? A new format with improved
features to tempt me! Sheesh!
I know VHS tapes are outdated. I know that nearly every Trekker worth his
or her salt has already purchased box sets of the series on DVD. But still,
I want to unload these tapes and I want to make at least a small return on
my multi-year, multi-thousand dollar investment.
The facts:
-87 tapes with two or three episodes on them each.
-Hi-Fi stereo cassettes. Are of equal quality to the VHS tapes Paramount
released.
-Each tape has it's original cardboard case.
I'm hoping to make at least $100 off of these tapes, plus shipping. I'm
located in New Jersey, and I'd be willing to make alternate arrangements for
pickup by anyone in the area.
Thanks,
John
