Intergalactic teleporter/transporter in TNG episode

Hi,

Basically, they go on a treasure hunt and find a galactic transporter (eg,
teleportation over light years), but it doesn't work anymore.

It's NOT The Chase (s6, e20).

I can't find anything on Google, and my friend doesn't know, so hopefully
someone on this newsgroup can help!

May be "Contagion", where the Enterprise finds an Iconian Outpost with said transporter.
